I installed SL 6.1 for the first time yesterday and was hoping to get my Tenda W322P PCI Wireless N card up and running. The rt2860sta package from elrepo doesn't appear to support the 3062 chipsets but following the instructions @ http://www.hyperborea.org/journal/2010/08/wifi-ralink-3062/ got everything working nicely.
Wireless performance on SL is far better than Windows 7, running a test at http://fast.co.uk/speedtest.php gets me 2.8Mbps on Windows7 and 6.5Mbps on SL. Impressed |
