I have an old linux kernel driver that I would like to rebuild and run with the SL 6.0 kernel.
I am new to scientific linux, mainly work on my own embedded linux versions where I just build kernel modules with the local kernel sources.
RedHat Enterprise allows for the compiling of custom modules by extracting everything needed from the full source and placing it in /lib/modules.
Is this kernel module build method possible with scientfic linux?

anything that works for you on Rhel regarding the building kernel modules, will work in SL. So if you have the source for desired driver and installed all needed packages, like kernel source, headers etc, you won't have troubles...
