This initiative is a good one from CERN.
Hopefully others will pick it up and join it -------------------- What is SL? - Forum Rules - Info on 3rd Party Repos - How to post images - How to post large text / config files

Well that is the idea Redman and the hope of open source. You and team have started the snow ball and we will see how far it travels. Best of luck to you and thank you for getting it started.

Perhaps I need to clearify one small thingy here. This forum isn't part of Fermilab or CERN. John started it from personal interest and gathered people around him who have the same liking of Scientific Linux -------------------- What is SL? - Forum Rules - Info on 3rd Party Repos - How to post images - How to post large text / config files

Yes, we are unofficial. The lead SL Developer does have moderator rights here, but that's just to post official announcements. That would be Troy Dawson; maybe he would chime in here and let us know if Fermilab has any future involvement in this ![]() -------------------- DΞLL Precision M6700: 17 inch NB//i7-quad w/USB 3.0, 16.0GB, Quadro K5000M 2.0GB DDR3, RGBLED //W8P64/Scientific Linux 6.4 x64

I seriously doubt this. They keep to themselves (otherwise there already had been a forum and more community involvement). As far as I know this comes from the fact that they are/where partially government supported, which makes things tighter. -------------------- What is SL? - Forum Rules - Info on 3rd Party Repos - How to post images - How to post large text / config files
