Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force can be installed by using this installer.
This enables the multiplayer. You will not be able to play the single player part of the game.

The installer will install Elite Force or Elite Force + Expansion Pack depending on which cdrom you have.

After upgrading to SL6.1 with the latest Nvidia driver I ran into a problem when adding bots to a game.
I saw that there is a new client version 1.38 RC1 (not final).

Download the following files (either i386 or x86_64) and copy them to your games/stvef directory:

iostvoyHM-1.38_rc1.i386
renderer_opengl1_i386.so

iostvoyHM-1.38_rc1.x86_64
renderer_opengl1_x86_64.so

Run the game by starting the new client (iostvoyHM-1.38_rc1.i386 or iostvoyHM-1.38_rc1.x86_64).

I LOVE this game. Best first-person shooter EVER.

I guess I need game in first place. I don't know this game, but I will try, if I will find it.

Try it on Windows first so you can experience the single-player campaign. Single-player is awesome. Multiplayer is just a Quake 3 clone with Star Trek-themed maps and weapons.

I hope it will run on wine. I didn't install wine on SL cause I am running 64-bit version (now I regret this).
But got on Knoppix. I mean wine. My last experience with Windows it was Vista; XP still exist on old (very) box Athlon 3000+, but it should be enough.

EF is just like any other Quake-3 like shooter.
Except the environment is Star Trek based.

Have a look on ebay, there you will find the game for almost nothing.
Mind you, you will only be able to play multiplayer mode.
Single player gameplay is not available.
