Hey guys,
So I just signed up and already had an idea for the forum (you must be thinking oh boy, not one of those guys!). There seems to be a lot of desktop-related support issues but I think it could be handy to have a separate subforum for running SL6 on a server. Not sure how much that is being used within the community but with the whole stir in the CentOS world there may be more people interested in switching to SL. So, yeah, those are my two cents. Will stick around here probably to provide support to others where I can. (And in case you're wondering I' m hoping to kick out Ubuntu Server on a few dozen servers we have at work and replace it with SL) |

Although it isn't such bad idea, it won't add much to the cause. Simply put: most of the issues reported here are mostly related to using newer or non-RHEL software on SL. Using SL on servers is generally speaking not a big problem.
So creating a subforum for servers will not change a lot on the problems/questions posted. -------------------- What is SL? - Forum Rules - Info on 3rd Party Repos - How to post images - How to post large text / config files
