i have a few SL forum format suggestions that will streamline the forums:
1. Remove the announcements forum. Instead, pin new anouncements in "Forum Announcements and Suggestions" forum for a month, and then desticky it. 2. Rename "Third Party Packages and Software " to "Third Party Packages". As currently titled, the software part overlaps with "Software and applications", and is confusing. 3. Move "Third Party Packages" to as a *subforum* of "Software and applications". 4. Move "How-to's / manuals / instructional manuals" forum to under "General". and remove "Technical" category. Isnt "Support" technically "Technical"? 5. Currently forums have a weird format. Take "Software and applications" for instance. First there is Announcements (makes sense) Second there is Important topics containing only a "welcome" post (this should be merged with announcements) Third is Forum Topics (OK) Fourth is Important topics again (????) Fifth is Forum topics yet again (?????????????????????????????????????????????????) -------------------- |

I disagree, none of the suggested changes seem to improve anything, on the contrary IMHO they would make the forum less organised. I would keep things as they are, as they are just fine as they are.

I agree with this, everything looks a bit weird when you come to think of it. |
