I have worked on Scientifix Linux 5 and now installed fresh Scientifix Linux 6 with openldap and samba . I'm having a bit of issue with finding the slapd.conf file. There is a folder for slap.d/ but no conf file in it by default. I can see folders
and ldap.conf file.I think in the new versions of Fedora,Centos AND Scientifix Linux 6 there is no slapd.conf file.So now where to start ?
I have google a lot but find the old methos to configure slapd.conf file .Please please help me.

Hellow gardenair and welcome to Scientific Linux Fora,
You can find slapd in SL6/RHEL6 located in: /usr/share/openldap-servers/
Not sure why they changed it from /etc... for version 6.
Hope this helps,

You can always create a symbolic link to 'circumvent' the change.
