Red Hat has announced that support for RHEL 5 and RHEL 6 has been extended from 7 to 10 years, as reported by El Reg.
See this Red Hat document for new support phase dates. Will SL follow suit? What do you think? -------------------- There are many alternate universes, but only this one has beer.

I think this is great news, and I think SL will surely follow.
People are keeping their machines and setups longer and longer these days so this will be very helpful. Some people can't use newer versions, don't care, don't want the hassle of upgrading, or don't need the latest and greatest. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |
