Hi,
Installing Scientific Linux 6.1 I can not found in repositories some applications like
krusader deluge hardinfo opera google-chrome-stable qutim-icq qutim-jabber kdiff3

Is this problem that not all required repositories are in system ?:
I installed most from http://scientificlinuxforum.org/index.php?showtopic=266
except puias. Is it critical ?

Are these apps in repositories ?

Hello,

I know hardinfo is in the rpmforge repo but i am not sure of the others.
CODE
Available Packages
Name        : hardinfo
Arch        : x86_64
Version     : 0.5.1
Release     : 1.el6.rf
Size        : 280 k
Repo        : rpmforge
Summary     : Displays information about your hardware and operating system
URL         : http://hardinfo.org/
License     : GPL
Description : HardInfo is a small application that displays information about your
           : hardware and operating system. Currently it knows about PCI, ISA PnP,
           : USB, IDE, SCSI, Serial and parallel port devices.

If you are unable to find SL compatible versions of the other packages you could recompile/rebuild them from source using one of these guides:
http://scientificlinuxforum.org/index.php?showtopic=128
http://scientificlinuxforum.org/index.php?showtopic=153 (this guide is for building a kernel but the same technique can be used for any package)

Hope this helps,

google-chrome-stable can be easily installed by downloading the rpm file from the website.

A word of warning about using rpmforge with epel (which you have installed) - see this thread

rpmforge/epel

There might be some more recent developments, though, that I am not aware of

According to your "yum repolist" output you have also configured one wrong repository: PUIAS_6_Core instead of PUIAS_6_Addons.

Yes I tried to include PUIAS_6 repository at http://puias.math.ias.edu/wiki/YumRepositories6
but failed. It seems that I need to create key file, and it was not clear to me how to make it?
Could you please clarify?

After my attempts to add PUIAS running "yum install" I get error:
CODE

Downloading Packages:
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID 41a40948: NOKEY
Retrieving key from file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-puias
Invalid GPG Key from file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-puias: No key found in given key data

How can I fix it?

I have configured my PUIAS 6 Addons repository as follows:
CODE
cat > /etc/yum.repos.d/puias-addons.repo << EOF
[PUIAS_6_addons]
name=PUIAS addons Base $releasever - $basearch
mirrorlist=http://www.puias.princeton.edu/data/puias/$releasever/$basearch/os/Addons/mirrorlist
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-puias
enabled=1

[PUIAS_6_addons_Updates]
name=PUIAS addons Updates $releasever - $basearch
mirrorlist=http://www.puias.princeton.edu/data/puias/updates/$releasever/en/addons/$basearch/mirrorlist
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-puias
enabled=0
EOF
wget -P /etc/pki/rpm-gpg http://puias.princeton.edu/data/puias/6/i386/os/RPM-GPG-KEY-puias

The wget command downloads the PUIAS RPM key used for signing PUIAS packages.
The next "yum install" command will ask for confirmation of this key, then the repo should be ready.
Hope that helps.
