Install iscsi-scst

Hello ,

First of all sory for my poor english !

I try to install iscsi-scst. For this you need to apply a patch to the kernel and rebuild the kernel. When I try to rebuild the kernel the following error occurred

Hi marchand,
there is always hope, because everything is possible on Linux
But, from your post it is not possible to help you.
You need that someone will try to patch it and recompile, to try to help you, so you need to share here exactly what you did, where you get kernel sources, (looks like vanilla kernel?) and not SL? Where you downloaded patch ... links, steps, everything ... then community can try and help ...

Marchand, I faced your problem and fixed it by disabling 2 kernel directives, as follows :
run make menuconfig.
1) Select "Enable loadable module support", then "Module signature verification (EXPERIMENTAL)". Disable it.
2) Then go back to the main menu, select "Cryptographic API" then "In-kernel signature checker (EXPERIMENTAL)" and disable that one too.
Then go back again, save your config and make your kernel. At least, it will pass this phase successfully.

Excellent! That must have taken some doing, finding those specific parameters that caused the crypto subsystem from building correctly.
