Dear all

I installed Firefox 8.0.1 in SL 6.1, and although I can launch Firefox, I can't get my plugins working with this version, I get this errors:

I still have the official version installed and that one works fine.

Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I have, in the past, had this error when I mistakenly used 32-bit firefox on a 64-bit OS. Although, in my case, I was never able to open firefox.

Could this be the problem? Try downloading 64-bit firefox from mozilla ftp and install.

Hi

It seems that the issue is the i686 vs 64 bits. I assumed that Firefox 8 was a 64 bit version.

I downloaded Firefox 9, which is 64 bits, and now all is working

Thanks a lot for all your help
