Yes, resurrected and with many bug fixes and adaptations to current Linux environments and other minor improvements. The official mirrors currently still don't carry the binary rpms for RHEL6 (they had some mirroring issues), but the personal repo of the RHEL6 package maintainer is available here: http://trinity.mangafrance.com/el6/ (beware the .repo file there actually points to the official mirrors which are still not updated, not to the personal repo, so if you want to use the repo file for the personal repo you will have to manually adapt it) -------------------- My personal SL6 repository, specialized in audio/video software: http://pkgrepo.linuxtech.net/el6/

Actually the official mirrors are now up to date with the RHEL6 packages so TDE 3.5.13 can be installed following the procedure explained on the official web site:

I just installed TDE on one of my SL6 PCs and I'm very positively impressed by it.
Everything I tried works fine and anyone who enjoyed KDE 3.5 will feel right at home with TDE! Also it feels faster than Gnome (not to mention KDE4) on my humble Atom D525 based SL6.1 box. One suggestion for anyone installing it on SL6.x: Edit the trinity-3.5.13-el6.repo file and disable the extras repos, as those aren't needed on SL6.x. They contain some dependencies that are missing in RHEL6 but are included in SL6 (gtk1.2 and some other libs). -------------------- My personal SL6 repository, specialized in audio/video software: http://pkgrepo.linuxtech.net/el6/

Here is a great informative review of TDE on SL6. I wonder if the writer of that review is a fellow SLforum user?

A quick note to the Mods/Admins:
Can you please move this thread to the "3rd party repos" subforum as I believe it belongs there? Thanks! -------------------- My personal SL6 repository, specialized in audio/video software: http://pkgrepo.linuxtech.net/el6/

Although it can be argued that this item could be put in other subforums too, I have moved it to the "3rd party thingy " -------------------- What is SL? - Forum Rules - Info on 3rd Party Repos - How to post images - How to post large text / config files
