Is there an easy way to convert the Desktop User Guide (from System > Help) into a PDF file? I need a Finnish printed guide for my parents (80 years) who dare not try anything themselves if they do not have some kind of paper manual. All books for beginners that I have found like the (Finnish edition) of Linux for Dummies assume the reader already knows how to use Windows or a GUI in general.

I tried printing to pdf with Print This Document... in the Help browser but it just quits and prints nothing. Print This Page... prints the page without the pictures.

The (Finnish) help files seem to be in directory /usr/share/gnome/help/user-guide/fi/.

Unless the document you mention is specific to SL, all RHEL documents can be found here (including pdf).

As fars as I could see, Red Hat documentation is meant for the system administrator, not the desktop user. However, I was able to print (to pdf) the gnome Desktop User Guide (in the help browser) using openSUSE. Trying to print the guide in SL does not work:

I also found the gnome 2 documentation at http://library.gnome.org/users/user-guide/. The single pdf printed (to pdf) quite nicely but I had to scale the pages to 91% to make them fit on A4 paper.
