hello
i face this panel problem with nivida drivers and found easy solution sorry for sharing it too late imageshack is your panel look like this if so my solution is system>preference>desktop effect now click on select compiz effect then you see what i am posting above but after you click on compiz icon (install compiz icon) everything work ok just make sure you have your compiz also set it from compiz icon instead of metacity it work like charm and do it in order and it look like this imageshack source: wilderssecurity.com -------------------- Bhagvad gita verse 20: soul can never be created nor be destroyed, but moves on from one body to another upon death.

hope it help other as well who are facing strange panel problem
