Hello tux99, I have only linuxtech repo installed.
I found that the movie player would not play a DVD. This was .iso file on my computer, so I tried a real physical DVD and it worked. The .iso file worked on Fedora with movie player, so maybe I'm missing a plugin or perhaps movie player is a different version. The .iso file works with VLC. I'll try to determine what the version of movie player is on Fedora and compare to SL6.3. The packages: gstreamer-java and gstream-java-swt were not found. I'm not sure if this may be the problem. ddan |

Ok, so your problem is actually with opening iso images, not with DVD playback itself. This appears to be a limitation of the version of totem (movie player) included in SL6. Have you tried from command line? totem dvd://full/path/to/dvdimage.iso This should work, at least it does for me. -------------------- My personal SL6 repository, specialized in audio/video software: http://pkgrepo.linuxtech.net/el6/
