Hello,
use of Japanese language is supported by the upstream vendor (Red Hat), so it should be fine with Scientific Linux too.

I never used non-latin character fonts though, so can not vouchsafe the quality.

You can read eg. here:
rhel non latin characters

It is in English though, so if you're not comfortable reading it, try to use some search enging (google) and look for something like "RHEL 7 japanese support" (i can't translate this to japanese, ehh) :-)

good luck!
cheers :-)

私も日本人ですが、カリフォルニアに住んでいます。 smile.gif

日本語入力システムおよび日本語での表示ですが、問題ありません。OSインストール時に日本語を選択するのが一番簡便な方法でしょう。なお、いまこのポストはSL6のデスクトップを使って書いています。

About Scientific Linux 7, so you may want to check in advance, thank you.
Scientific to Linux 7, the Japanese input system or will be able to make the installation.
Also, I think the display in Japanese is possible.
Thank you.

I am also a Japanese, but I live in California.

The display in the Japanese input system and the Japanese, but this is not a problem. It would be the most convenient way to choose the Japanese during the OS installation. It should be noted that this post I'm writing using the desktop of SL6 now.

I had to break my curiousity of what ya'll were saying. How close was google translate? wink.gif

Google translate has improved a lot. It used to be a good source of laughter when it comes to English <-> Japanese translation.

In short, the OP wanted to know if SL7 supports Japanese input and display. I said Yes. smile.gif
