Hi,

I have rebuilt qbittorrent + dependencies and uploaded them to the Fedora People Repos to host

http://qbittorrent.sourceforge.net/

CODE

su
curl http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/leigh123linux/qbittorrent/epel-qbittorrent.repo -o /etc/yum.repos.d/epel-qbittorrent.repo

To install the gui version

CODE

su
yum install qbittorrent

To install the non-gui version

CODE

su
yum install qbittorrent-nox

All the packages were built using the mock build system.

It installed and runs fine (gui version). No hiccups. Thanks Leigh for the contribution! wink.gif

Now I'm going to start seeding from AllurGroceries torrent links here.

I'm seeding all the live media (DVD & CD), both i386 and x64.

I'd like to see Leigh package up Deluge, although I must say Qbittorrent has been excellent. biggrin.gif

Thanks alot. the instructions are clear and worked for me without adjustments, and I'm new to SL (and all RH based distros) so I was afraid I would need to work hard for that.
Thanks.

Great, it installed and began downloading without any issues. Thanks a lot.

Just out of curiosity, what goes into "rebuilding" this torrent client?

Some may find they need to pre-install the GeoIP package (from rpmforge or epel) to succeed. The dependency failure message, however, blames the lack of "libGeoIP".

QUOTE (leigh123linux @ Apr 21 2011, 10:27 PM)
Hi,

I have rebuilt qbittorrent + dependencies and uploaded them to the Fedora People Repos to host

http://qbittorrent.sourceforge.net/

CODE

su
curl http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/leigh123linux/qbittorrent/epel-qbittorrent.repo -o /etc/yum.repos.d/epel-qbittorrent.repo

.

Unfortunately, this repo no longer exists. I previously used these instructions to install qbittorrent-nox on CentOS 6.5.

I have recently installed a new CentOS 6.5 server and would like to get qbittorrent working on it, but have hit problems.

1. I can't find any pre-built package for CentOS 6.5
2. I am attempting to build from source but after sorting out various dependencies have gotten stuck on libtorrent-rasterbar which I can't seem to get built. Instructions for this are obtuse and lacking (to me).

I would appreciate any help with this that I can get.

You can find libtorrent-rasterbar (rb_libtorrent) packages for EL6 in my linuxtech repo.
