Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the best place for this question so mods feel free to move wherever you think appropriate.

I have been using SL6 for a while now, and I'm very happy with it. Under System->Preferences->Desktop Effects

I tried changing to the "compiz" setting. It looks very nice, but I've noticed that any attempt to use Processing (java based graphics programming "suite" ) forces a log out back to the normal SL6 login screen.

I don't need to use the fancy accelerated graphical effects, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what's causing the crash. Are there any profiling commands I could run to see what's going on? I'm getting the sense that java doesn't mesh well with the accelerated graphics, because firefox and online video still works fine under the "compiz" setting.
