I'm trying to configure the Penmount driver for a touchscreen device, but it seems X doesn't apply my configuration options. Relevant snippet of the xorg.conf configuration:

CODE

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Penmount"
Driver "penmount"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/event7"
Option "ConfigFile" "/etc/penmount.dat"
Option "SwapXY" "on"
Option "DebugLevel" "1"
EndSection

X seems to find the device all right:

CODE

[    20.162] (II) config/hal: Adding input device DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB
[    20.162] (II) Using input driver 'evdev' for 'DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB'
[    20.162] (**) DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: always reports core events
[    20.162] (**) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Device: "/dev/input/event7"
[    20.166] (--) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Vendor 0x14e1 Product 0x6000
[    20.166] (--) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Found 3 mouse buttons
[    20.166] (--) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Found absolute axes
[    20.166] (--) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Found x and y absolute axes
[    20.166] (--) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Found absolute touchscreen
[    20.166] (II) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: Configuring as touchscreen
[    20.166] (**) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: YAxisMapping: buttons 4 and 5
[    20.166] (**) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: EmulateWheelButton: 4, EmulateWheelInertia: 10, EmulateWheelTimeout: 200
[    20.166] (**) Option "config_info" "hal:/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_14e1_6000_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input"
[    20.166] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB" (type: TOUCHSCREEN, id 16)
[    20.166] (II) evdev: DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: initialized for absolute axes.
[    20.166] (**) DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: (accel) keeping acceleration scheme 1
[    20.167] (**) DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: (accel) acceleration profile 0
[    20.167] (**) DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: (accel) acceleration factor: 2.000
[    20.167] (**) DIALOGUE INC PenMount USB: (accel) acceleration threshold: 4

but it seems to want to use the evdev driver.

Any tips?
