Soon getting my shiny new hand-crafted 64-bit box.

SL, EPEL and LinuxTech have played together nicely on my 32-bit machine (from SL 6.0 to now, 6.4). Before I screw things up on my new machine I'm wondering whether ELRepo would also play politely with them if I needed/wanted stuff from that repo.

Your advice would be appreciated :-)

EDIT: Sorry, I don't think this post ended up where I had intended it to :-(

Yes, according to my experience and to the best of my knowledge the main Elrepo repo is perfectly safe to use, elrepo-extras could cause problems as there is package overlap, I haven't tested it, it might work fine too.

tux99 is correct. The packages in the elrepo repository do not overwrite distro ones. Those that do are released through the elrepo-extras repository.
