Hello,

I am using SL 6.4 with latest updates.
Since I have it running on a desktop PC, I was used to switch it to standby mode for short breaks in between - at least prior to the update to kernel version 2.6.32-431.1.2.el6.x86_64... huh.gif
Now, whenever I wake up the system, the display stays blank with just a "_" at the upper left corner of the screen. Any attempts to restart the X server with "CTRL-ALT-Backspace" do not work in this situation. With all previous official EL6 kernel versions, I have never had any problems with respect to that. The latest mainstream kernel, namely kernel-ml-3.12.5-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64, also "behaves" properly...

My hardware consists of a MSI Z77 MPower Mainboard and an Intel Core i7-3770K CPU, of which I am using the built-in HD 4000 GPU.
Is anyone aware of this problem and / or has also experienced similar problems?

I suggest mentioning this issue also on the SL mailinglist.
That way, it might be picked up quicker by the devs than here wink.gif
It could be a RHEL bug.

Thank's for the advise to put this report to some "higher level".
So I reported it to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1046060
