The Scientific Linux Forum is NOT officially part of CERN or Fermilab (the creators of Scientific Linux).

The people active on this forum, either regular member or the crew are NOT employed or paid by CERN or Fermllab.

Any critical bugs, problems, etc. posted on this forum will not automatically be picked up by the people from SL.

Please report serious/critical problems on the SL mailinglists.

Please use the search option before posting, great chance it has already been posted...

Please give information when asking for help. Any info on the system would help (using lspci is a good start)


Of course you can post anything related to SL on this forum.
And members here will try to help you if they can.
But keep in mind that everyone active on this forum is a volunteer.
