Hi I just starting using Linux and I would like to ask how should I set up noip2 so that it would be ran every time my PC is booted automatically.

Hi,

if the app has already start-up script installed automatically - then you need just set it up for automatic start

if SL 6x:
CODE

chkconfig --list (find your servicename)
chkconfig servicename on (to enable automatic start)


if SL 7x:
[code]
systemctl list-units --type service (to list installed services)
systemctl enable name.service (to enable automatic start)


if the application doesn't create those start-up scripts automatically upon during its install, then you'll have to write that startup script yourself..
