SL7 (installed from LiveDVD) on USB w/encrypted root & swap sometimes resumes to write-protected, which I've been unable to remedy without rebooting. Subsequently requires fsck when this happens. Installing hdparm didn't help. (Though perhaps there's a setting to be applied with it somewhere?)

Remount to rw doesn't work ( / is listed as rw in /proc/mounts).

Hibernation has always failed completely with a stream of 'unable to write...' followed by a stream of 'unable to read....' error messages on a console screen, and necessity of fsck on next boot.

There are vaguely related bug reports to be found (actually debian/ubuntu.) One of these suggested adding 'resume=/dev/mapper/luks-###...' for the swap to the commandline in grub.cfg; this made no difference.

Any insight is appreciated.
