Dear All,

Can anyone shed some light on some Free and open source Video recording software?
I am looking for a tool that could record videos played on my computer I would like, for instance, be able to record videos on YouTube (like the vimcasts), or some CBT videos that I run on my loptop.
Basically I would like to access all these online content when I am offline.
Could you please tell us if you use such a tool and what are the pros and cons of your solution?

Many thanks for your help and keep up the good work!

Thank you,

Freddie

Hi, I just saw this online. I hope it will help you. It is so called an open broadcaster software. I've read that, it can record your own videos with high quality. I guess, its also free and an open source software for recording.

I meant to say thank you for your inputs a long time ago.
I just realize I did not!
I have been using OBS and I am satisfied with it.
Apology for not getting back to the forum more promptly.
Thank you very much for your help indeed!
Cheers,

Freddie
