just wanted to share that there is a how-to in progress on how to install SME Server functionality on top of Scientific Linux minimal.
SME Server is a complete server solution for small to medium enterprises and is based on CentOS.
It is relatively easy to install the required SME Server packages on top of SL. It is a work in progress (unofficial) and is based on the current development cycle of SME Server 9.0alpha1, based on CentOS 6.3. SME Server is already running on Scientific Linux minimal 6.3 as a proof of concept.
I thought it could be interesting to the 'scientific world' where many projectteams come and go and could benefit from a quick and proven "all-in-one" solution for their communication needs on their own trusted SL platform :-)
It would also be interesting to see if some of you can help out in any way so it can become a seamless procedure. So please feel free to hop over for a visit to http://contribs.org, the home of SME Server. There is also an informal IRC channel #SME_Server on freenode if you feel like a chat or have some quick questions. (freenode webchat)
