Hi, I've recently come to knowing of so-called Nettop / Mini PC which looks pretty cool, especially for a headless server. Linux Mint already got endorsed by Compulab with its MintBox.

May I know if anyone has successfully get SL running in a Mini PC?

I can recommend the Lex UNO with Via C7 Eden cpu (3V700D series), SL6 runs great on it and it uses less than 9 Watts of power and with 3 network interfaces it works great as a gateway/router/firewall.

This is an industrial/embedded mini-PC so it's designed to run 24/7 for many years, unlike consumer grade mini-PCs.

Hi tux, I can't find the said model on Amazon tongue.gif

It's probably a specialized product whereas Amazon is only for consumer products. I guess the price is quite expensive too.

For me, I think a consumer mini-PC which can last for about 5 years is good enough.
