Hello!!
I installedTeX Live in a SL7 x86_64 with Kde desktop; following these instructions: http://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html As root I run the script ./install-tl and gave no errors. The packages can be found in the folder
I modified (still as root) the .bashrc file and added those folders to the path. I tried to compile a simple .tex file:
And compiled without errors producing a nice pdf file. But when I started to add some packages latex was not able to find them; despite the .sty can be found in the folders. Searching in Google I found some similar problems for Ubuntu users. The solution was to edit the .bashrc file...but that is not my case...I already edited it. What can be the problem?? Thank you all!! |

Hello again.
I found the solution to the problem: when you write the path in .bashrc be sure that you give it in the correct order
Otherwise, the system will look in the system folders first and will never find the place where you installed texlive. |
