Hello

I'm currently installing a matrox card on a SL6 running machine.

During the instalation of the matrox driver, mil-lite, i obtain the following output.

CODE
=> Checking kernel sources...
We could not find the kernel sources for your current system. Please install them before retrying the installation.
Kernel version : 2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64
MIL Installation Aborted. (20)

All i need to do is installing the kernel sources.

kernel, kernel-devel and kernel-headers are already installed.

However since SL4, there is no more kernel-source package, and i've seen here that i should extract kernel source from src.rpm.

Well i've tried to, but no results for now.

So how to install kernel source on SL6?

i MAY have figured it out.

kernel kernel-devel, and kernel-headers are 2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64

however mil lite said version is 2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64, as uname -r do also.

all that was needed was...reboot, so the right kernel will be in use.

kernel-devel is sufficient.
