In case someone is interested in chess analysis software after the world championship final between Vishy Anand and Magnus Carlsen (now the new world champion):
In my personal repo I have updated the chess database GUI ChessX to 1.0.0 and the (most powerful open-source) chess engine Stockfish to version 4.
My repository joka-chess has no dependencies to any other 3rd party repos. Therefore I think it is safe to install chessx and stockfish by following commands:
CODE
yum localinstall http://www.jokasrepo.de/el6/chess/x86_64/joka-release-chess-6-1.3.el6.jk.noarch.rpm
yum install chessx stockfish

(Replace "x86_64" by "i386" in the first command if you have a 32-bit installation)

Sample screenshot of ChessX 1.0.0:

Note: the Stockfish engine has to be configured once in ChessX:
Edit->Preferences->Engines->Add:
then
Name: Stockfish
Command: /usr/bin/stockfish
Protocol: UCI
