A PDFsam-enhanched package is now available in the linuxtech-release repo.

PDFsam is a Java based free open source tool to split, merge and manipulate PDF documents.

Home page:
http://www.pdfsam.org

PDFsam has no dependencies on any other linuxtech packages so you can simply download and install it without even adding the linuxtech repo to your installed repos.

To date I have been using PDF Chain (split, merge, stamp and add attachments) as well as PDF Shuffler ( shuffle and or remove pages of a pdf). They are based on pdftk. Very happy with those.

I will soon get around to giving PDFsam a spin. smile.gif

Sounds like a handy app. Thanks for the work.

Yes, I have only briefly tested it myself so far, I had never heard of it before but that German article that I linked to made me interested in it, that's why I decided to package it up.

The GUI doesn't look that nice (typical for a Java app) but it looks packed with useful functions to manipulate PDFs. I have a few badly formatted PDFs that I want to improve with it when I find time for it.
