Hi,
Can anyone help me with installing LateX on my computer? I've downloaded the .tar file from the internet. I've created a directory for installs to where I've extracted the download folder. Then I've changed directory to that folder, did ./install-tl, and it has given me errors like I'm missing something.

[zlan345@sc-phy-slinux-345910 install-tl-20160227]$ ./install-tl
Can't locate Digest/MD5.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./tlpkg /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .) at tlpkg/TeXLive/TLUtils.pm line 201.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at tlpkg/TeXLive/TLUtils.pm line 201.
Compilation failed in require at ./install-tl line 53.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./install-tl line 53.
[zlan345@sc-phy-slinux-345910 install-tl-20160227]$

I'm guessing it has to do with the version I've downloaded from the internet. Any help would be great as I need this program today.

Thanks,
Zac

Ok so I did yum install texlive-latex and it tells me already installed and latest version, but I can't find LateX on my computer (you will have to excuse me I'm very new at this and I still haven't figured out the simple stuff yet).

Cheers,
Zac
